H70 Migration from 5.1 to 5.3 Failing

I’m trying to migrate an H70 currently running AIX 5.1 to 5.3. Shortly after the migration to hdisk0 started I got the error message that there is no boot device. When I try bosboot –a or bosboot –a –d /dev/hdisk0 both commands fail. Will AIX 5.3 run on an H70?

Yes, if the firmware is up to date.
