I understand that SCN using H450 only allows 4 outbound calls and unlimited inbound calls. Can someone shed some light on this? If so, is there going to be a license or something that will expand this limitation? Please advise.

Cheers.

where did you get the 4 from? So if i have 2 ipo with VCM 32 in each of them, i can only have 4 inbound calls???

Ah, you have read the docs. Well this is only for IPO 500, the number of outgoing calls is depending on the number of licenses you have for IP Networking channels, by default you have four channels free of charge if you buy a IPO 500 VCM card. This can be upgraded by buying more licenses. The number of incoming calls is unlicensed and can be as much as there are VCM channels available.

I didn't think you got any IP Networking channels FOC just 4 VCM's with the card witht he 500.

I thought to get SCN the Networking Start license and then Additional IP Networking licenses were required.

Fooball is not a matter of life and death-It is far more important!!!!

The free vcms can be used for IP phones regardless of having SCN or not.

Yes, my mistake, there is ALWAYS a networking license necessery, nothing free of charge except the 4 VCM channels.
When you have a standard 4 channels networking license then you can receive as many SCN calls as there are VCM channels, there can be only four outgoing calls at the same time.

Thanks for clearing that up mate. I thought I had misunderstood the licensing. Wouldn't be the first time!!!!

so just to be clear... when you buy a ip500, i dont need to buy a vcm if i want to have two ip phone, because it comes with a biult in vcm(like the soe).

No Gknight, you get four channels (for free) when you buy the VCM card, and then buy licenses to add more channels to this card......you don't get any VCM with a IP500 out the box!!!

ok, thats what i thought, just all the talk about free vcm go me excited.haha

I know, it's not really for free as you have just paid for the card with four channels on with the option to add more. We are all lucky Avaya don't charge us extra for the packaging that the card comes in....lol
