I have a TB of h/w raid which crashed over the weekend (the server did, I mean !1) when I left some processes to run in the weekend. Now the only option left was a reboot which I did. Now its taking like eons to check the entire file system as it was not cleanly unmounted, it says. Now, is it really necessary for me to recheck he entire TB of file system every time the server crashes. If so, then why ?? If not, then how do I avoid it ??
