I have a H-50 we got from another company, when you power it all it stops at the service processor firmware menu. How do i get around that menu, no matter what I do it goes right back to the same menu.
thanks for any help.

I am trying to but I cant get the CDrom to open, Have checked all cables tried different cables, etc. Will keep looking at it..thanks

A common problem if the CDRom Drive won't open is, that it's in use by the system ...

Have you already tried to reboot the system and open the drive before the system enters the firmware menu ?

I know, it's not the buest guess ;-)
But one shall never say never ...

Regards
Thomas

Could be a bad drive.
Have you tried with a paper clip?

I have check the power cables, I am not sure what the paper clip method is but the drive is not flashing or anything during power up.
thanks

The paperclip method:

Unfold a paperclip until you have a long thin metal stick
insert that stick into little hole on front of CD drive until you feel a bit of resistance, push a bit further to unlock drive mechanism and release drive tray. Then pull open drive tray completely.

Depending on drive position (vertical or horizontal) you may now have a coffee cup holder ;-) because if the drive's light remains off - not even flashing - on power up, the drive is probably dead.
