I am a man who despises Apache/Linux/PHP so please bear with me. I'm trying to get gzip going on my server. So far I have downloaded 7 files. There in no help file and I cannot find any sites to help. Is there anyone who can help.

No the site didn't help at all. I've got these files, what do I do with them? open them, move them?

If you are convinced you still need to install gzip, please describe your system: which version of linux, which processor variety, and which files you've downloaded.
