to avoid "spam Mails" in my GWIA (nw4.2, GW5.5)I have select the "Prevent Messaging Relaying" in NWADMIN, GROUPWISE VIEW, GWIA, Access COntrol, Smtp Relaying. Now the "spam" Mail goes to a bad directory on the Group Wise Server. The Problem is now The "Spammer" sends Mails but they do not arrive, but the "Spammer" does not know this and try, and try because he can make a telnet (port 25) to this SMTP.(It is Dial UP ISDN Connection)
Know Somebody a solution, that the
"Spammer" can not send "Spamms"

First, wrong forum you want the GroupWise forum. Second, you can't control the spammers email program (unless you have remote control). So unless you want to send the spammer email telling him/her/it that you blocked the email you are out of luck.

All you need is a "cleanup" script to purge the bad mail directory. Joshua Rothschild
