GWIA Problem

We run a Netware 5.1 server, NDS 8.51, with Groupwise 5.5

Our GWIA shut down unexpectedly today, and the following message was being repeated at the console:

GwGateway: Unable to load gateway string from gwia.fil

The Win2K Terminal Server on our LAN lost connectivity to the Netware server at this point.

I have run DSTRACE, but no errors are reported.

I have also checked the synchronisation status of all replicas in DSREPAIR, and no errors were reported.

Our GWIA has just gone down again for a second time today.

If anyone has any hints or advice on how to fix this problem, I would be most grateful.

Was anything changed on the server recently...like applying a patch?

There are lot's of TIDs on Novell's with this error with many different causes.

You might just try to uninstall and reinstall GWIA. It's not a big deal to do that. But maybe check your volumes for corruption and/or space issues first.
