GWIA causes DR WATSON exception - Access error in nt4.0

The gateway we use for GWIA is an nt4.0 sp5 machine. It seems that some attachments from different users are causing the Dr Watson exception - access error
and shutting down the Internet Agent (GWIA.exe). There are no size limitations for outgoing mail. The attachments are m/s powerpoint 97. What to look for?
