I have just done a gw5.5 to 6.5 upgrade for a client. They have around 300 users, most of which use the groupwise client. However, they have a handful of users that apparently do not like groupwise and use Linux for their mail. I'm trying to figure out how to manage these users, as I've never run into this configuration before.
Here is what happens with the linux users...
-They have Novell user IDs, but not GW id's..
-They are not defined at any post office.
-I can look at the GWIA in ConsoleOne and see that they have an alias defined at the GWIA Post Office... but it is non-editable. I can't add/remove/change these users.
-When you send email to these users, the GWIA apparently picks it up and forwards it to the unix system.
-There is an "INTERNET" domain defined, but neither before nor after the upgrade am I able to see anything that defines these users.
- All of these users show up in the address book.
I don't need a lengthy explanation, just a point in the right direction. What are these called and how do I configure them?
Thanks.
