Client: GroupWise 5.5 and GroupWise 6

Suddenly I am getting a number of reports that GroupWise is prompting users for passwords when previously there was no password.
Trouble-shooting steps so far:
Checked client options at the domain level to make sure Allow NDS Authentication was not enabled;
Checked client options at the post office levels to make sure Allow NDS Authentication was not enabled;
Had users try their Network passwords (this did not work);
Checked novell site for information, couldn't find any
I have been manually resetting these passwords but it is happening at a number of sites across the country and I am not sure why.
We are currently rolling out GroupWise 6 clients to our sites (some are already up and running others are not). I'm not convinced this is related, but I am at a loss why we are experiencing these problems.
