GW6 security password forgotten

I have a user who p.w.- protected her email and wants to change it (she feels her Netware p.w. is compromised and therefore wants to change GW also. We can help her in NW6 Admin, of course, to change her Netware p.w.; however, I can't see a way around the GW6 security that requires her existing p.w. before allowing her to change it to something else. She's tried all the things she can remember it could be.

Hi gillis -

Like you said, NWAdmin (or ConsoleOne) would be the best bet. As admin, I would suggest you change her existing PW to something very simple, (under the GroupWise Tab) just to allow her to log into the GroupWise system. Then, she can change it to what she wants.

Fast. Simple. Free.

There are other cracks/HiVETS - but I would take the option listed above first.

Thanks for your response! I don't know what I was thinking (or not) I didn't honestly even look at the GW tab in NWAdmin; didn't realize the option for changing p.w. was there.
