GW6 Remote user missing all address books

Groupwise 6, remote user only. All his address books have disappeared from the remote copy. On the server, system, personal, frequent add. books are fine.

Did a connect to update address books specifically & it 'said' it was updating addresses, but still no address books. File / New Book or Import book (file,anything) does not work, either.

I did find a reference to this happening if you install Outlook on top of Groupwise:
