Hello,

I just upgraded from Win98 to XP - prior to the upgrade I uninstalled GW6 (it was suggested?) It didn't get everything out.

Now after upgrading and installing new Netware client, I tried to reinstall GW6. Seemed to go OK until partway through setup a MS Outlook window popped up with "Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfil the messaging request. Run MS Outlook and set it as the default mail client" And, of course, when I try to run GW, I get the same error.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Addendum to initial post...

I discovered in IE Options/Programs/Email - that nothing was selected. By selecting Outlook, my GWise mailbox opens but the first time I open an email, I get a message requesting the MS Exchange Server??? If I cancel it, subsequent emails don't ask. If I deselect Outlook as the email program, then I'm back to errors opening Groupwise.

Help! :)

Thanks for the tip,

I had to work at getting ALL of GW out of my system; but after that was able to get the messaging client installed and eventually remove the IIS reference.

Only glitch was had to run the downloaded NTWMS file from a command prompt; it wouldn't unzip from the desktop.

Otherwise, I'm back in business.

Thanks again,

jg
