Hi,

We recently moved to GW 6 and now that all the clients have been updated, we reset to client/server mode and point to the IP of P.O. However, I noticed that if a person doesn't login to Novell it brings up their email anyway because it's pointing to the IP. There must be some way to prevent this??

Thanks for any help available.

If you use the /@u-? switch option with the shortcut, that will always bring up a login box.

Also,if you turn Security to High on the PO, all Users will require a paasword to get to a Mailbox. You can do this in the Details for the PO.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the suggestion: we tried it and it does force a login; however, if the person's mail is not itself password-protected, then simply pressing OK gets you to their mailbox. I was hoping there was a way to prevent access to the postoffice unless authenticated by the Novell login process.

As I said in my previous post, in the Details for the PO, set the DEFAULT SESURITY LEVEL to HIGH. That will force GroupWise to require a password when a User logs on.

Good Luck!
