Hello,

Feels like I'm close but it's not happenin' yet. Recently upgraded to 6.5 and had to reinstall Web Access (long story). Now when I try the URL, I get the Certificate splash page, but when answering Yes, the browser immediately says page not found. It seems like I'm getting "inside" but not finding the login page?

WebAcc worked fine before on v6.0 so I know all router/firewall configs are OK. However, I'm not confident about some of the choices I made during install. Some of the entries in the install summary file don't look right.

Can anyone help me with what possible issues could affect that last connection after the Cert. splash?

Thanks a lot,

JGiles

Webaccess requires both Tomcat and Apache to be running to work correctly. Tomcat won't load unless LDAP is working correctly. LDAP will fail if your certificates are hosed up. So there is a long chain of events that can cause it to fail.

Tomcat is a Java app.. You should be able to type JAVA -SHOW at the console and see something like 'Org.Apache.Catalina..." If nothing is there, try running TOMCAT4 and then change to your logger screen and look for any errors. If it fails to load, then you need to run PKIDIAG and/or TCKGEN.NCF to correct your certificates.

Marvin, funny you should say that. LDAP is NOT initializing (root cert. for master ldap not found...)and I passed that on to my consultant who hasn't responded in a few days. That's why I'm digging in now myself. Had a feeling that might be related.

Also I discovered the Cert. splash page I mentioned above when trying WebAcc from outside is actually an HP ILO splash screen. So the address x.x.x.x/servlet/webacc is taking me to the ILO port?? If I leave off the /servlet/webacc then I get the ILO login prompt and can successfully get into that.

Now I'm really confused; but will work on the cert issue you brought up since it obviously needs correction.

Thanks very much for your response.

I don't think there is any way you could have the ILO and the server on the same IP address, but that sounds like what you're trying to do. Make sure your Server IP address and ILO address are different.. That would be a good start. And in the browser, use the http address of the server, not the ILO.

Use PKIDIAG to troubleshoot your certificate errors.

ILO and the Netware server have different "inside" IP's; however, we have only one outside IP with NAT taking care of the separation (I thought). We browse to e-mail using a DNS that redirects at the service provider to the outside IP of the router. Is this possibly a port issue?

I've run pkidiag and "fixed" some things. I'll try it again after reboot.

Thanks again,

JGiles
