I have had two users with the same problem with GroupWise 6.5 and appointments.
The view files are stored in C:\novell\GroupWise\OFVIEWS\WIN
When the New Appointment button is selected the error:
File c:\docume~1\admini~1\Locals~1\temp\usap_s.vew is not a view desription file.
The folder listed above is hidden. After revealing it and checking the file usap_s.vew is either there with 0 bytes or not there at all. If the files are copied from the ofviews\win directory and retried in GroupWise, the calendar will work. However if GroupWise is closed and then reopened the files are deleted (along with all other tmp files).
I have a workaround, I have made these view files read-only and so far that seems to have resolved the problem but that doesn't address the cause of the problem. Anybody know anything about this? I couldn't find any information in the Novell knowledgebase.
Thanks!!
