GW6.5.4 - usap_p.vew is not a view description file

GW6.5.4 client
Error: C:\Documents and Settings\ADMINISTRATOR\Local Settings\Temp\usap_p.vew is not a view description file

I have encountered a number of users who are getting this error. I have discovered if I copy the vew files into the temp directory the problem goes away but I have not yet figured out what causes it in the first place. The problem is not widespread and I have not found information in the Novell Knowledgebase that gives a definitive answer to this problem (in fact some of the tids indicate this problem was resolved in previous versions of GroupWise).

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

You might try replacing the Ofviews <dir> on your PO from either your GW CD or from your (S)oftware (D)istribution (D)irectory. Not knowing the exact count of files located in the Ofviews <dir> (over 700 I beleive) you might be missing some.
