Hi, Same issue:
I installed Compaq iPAQ which requires Outlook2002 be installed. We have Groupwise5.5 running on this XP machine. After I loaded Outlook, both Groupwise and Outlook froze when you start them. I applied the Novell Plug-ins, still no luck! Please advise!

Are you going to use Outlook on the PC for email? As well as Groupwise? If you only want to sync with the iPaq, we have made it work by using the profiles in the Mail control panel. If you go the the Mail cp, and click on the Profiles button, you will see a list of profiles. There is probably only one - for Groupwise. Create a second profile for Outlook, but don't set any of the mail server info, it just needs to have a different profile available. When you open Outlook next time, it should ask you which profile you want to use. Select the Outlook one. Groupwise knows to pick the Novell profile.

If they both still crash, I have had good luck replacing the mapi32.dll file with one from another XP machine with only Groupwise on it. Outlook doesn't really care which version is loaded, but Groupwise wants IT'S version to be there.

Hope this helps!

Hi Batwoman,
Thanks a lot for your VALUABLE info. I replaced the mapi32.dll as you instucted and both mail systerm not crash any more. Taht's great. But OUTLOOK wont't sync with Groupwise i.e. inbox cannot see anything from Groupwise Inbox, and the iPaq won't sync anything from OUTLOOK either. Any suggestion to do? I called the Compaq, and no luck! Thanks
