GW5.2 to Exchange 2K Migration HELP!!

I'm converting from GroupWise 5.2 to Exchange 2000 and am unable to get connected to API Gateway with Migration Wizard. I know very little about Novell. I'm comfortable with all I've done on Exchange. I'm desperate to get these migrations under way. I'd really appreciate any help.

what migration wizard are you using - assume it's an microsoft one that comes with exchange ?

what version of the api gateway are you running and what is it running on

afraid im guessing a bit - last time a used api gateway was to convert msmail to groupwise and only migrations i've ever done are the opposite way ie exchange to groupwise

I'm using Migration Wizard with Ex2K, the API is 4.1 (the only version I could find to download), it's running on a Netware 4.1.
I've seen different instructions on the order to install and configure the API and don't know how to tel if it's working. I've verified the GroupWise user has read/write rights to everything as well as proxy rights to everyone's email boxes, but in the MW I can't get passed the domain/user/password entries. It says "An error occurred logging into GW. Check user ID and password - if they're correct, log in to GW with that user, log off, and try the wizard again.
