The problem began when we installed new PC's running Windows 2000 professional, still using GroupWise 5.2. The user will type a message, and intermitently GroupWise will replace words with something else. There is no consistency to what letter or space combinations are replaced, but the words that GroupWise puts in are either the previous or current Month - November or December - or else a day of the week. No consistency with the day.

Upgrading GroupWise isn't an option at this time, but I'd appreciate any other suggestions!

I've ran into the same issue with GroupWise 5.5 and Windows 2000. Since we are going to upgrade to GroupWise 6.x next year I have not spent much time trying to figure out the issue. I can say that it's related to the AutoCorrect feature in GroupWise. I would just disable the AutoCorrect feature. Do this by...

1. Open GroupWise
2. Open a new e-mail message.
3. In the body begin typeing a word (does not matter)
4. On the above menu click on "Tools"
5. Select "Quickcorrect"
6. Remove the check from "Replace Words as You Type"

This should remove the "Quickcorrect" feature and prevent GroupWise from changing the words as you type.

If anyone knows why this happens, I would love to know. It only happens on Windows 2000 with GroupWise.....

*end users are just like computers, some you can work with...others just need a simple reBOOTing to fix their problems.*
