GW Remote

I have an end-user who uses GW Remote, connecting to our network through dial-up networking. Our GroupWise system is GW 5.5. However, he doesn't use the "Hit the Road" option. His Master Mailbox and Remote Mailboxes synch up fine. However, when he deletes mail from his Master Mailbox at the office, when he connects and synchs from his Remote Mailbox, the mail doesn't delete from the Remote Mailbox. Is there a way to get the remote mailbox to accept deletions from the master mailbox when synching the two?
