With our GroupWise 6.5 installation we were able to configure it to autoinstall and not ask the user any questions. We would like to do the same for GroupWise 7 but I can find no information either in Novell documentation or the knowledgebase (if I type in setup.ini in the installation manual it doesn't find anything!).

Does anyone know where to find this information??

It should be pretty close to the same settings as your 6.5 clients. With the options for PDAconnect and the Mailbox repair tool for caching mode users.

yes the process is pretty much identical to 6.5. If you look up SETUPIP, you should be able to find out the info you need.

Are you trying to do autoupgrade? Or manual, but no prompts? You can make the entire process much smoother by using the SETUPIP method. Look it up on the Knowledgebase and you'll find some good info. The way groupwise is built, your client GW7 deployment can go like this..

-- users login to GW6.5 client
-- They get prompted with a new version available.
-- they say yes to install.(or you can just force it to install)
-- it installs. no prompts. just watch it go.(or silent)
-- they're done. they run gw7.

very cool. and it's not that hard to setup.
