Hi,

when trying to install Groupwise 6.0.1 on *one* Win NT-maschine i'm getting into big trouble.
After having installed GW and going to start it, the computer crashes all the time, hangs up, and is doing nothing any more.....

It's just that one computer - on all other computer everything is fine.
Any ideas ? - Thanks in advance,

Hi,

Since this problem is limited strictly to one of your Windows NT computers, it is logical to assume that the issue is with that PC. As such the easiest ways to resolve the problem are:

1) Run the GroupWise Cleaning Agent to remove all signs of GroupWise on the computer.
2) Make sure there are no other messaging providers using MAPI services on that PC.
3) Re-install GroupWise.

If you still have the problem then:

1) Format the drive and install Windows NT from scratch.
2) Install GroupWise BEFORE any other applications and test it.

I would also recommend installing the GroupWise 6.02 client instead of 6.01.

I even completely reinstalled the whole bunch from the scratch (formatted hard drive, installed WinNT and GW)
- same error. Luckily i found an image for that type of computer, and now everything works fine..

Thanx anyway,
