GW 5.5e Can I completely disable Archiving?

Management wants to completely disable archiving. I know you can lock client options to set it to only manually archive, but is there a way to turn off archiving? Thanks

A work around might be to set the Archive File Location to null under Client Options/Environment/File Location. And then of course locking the feature. Without a file location archiving will not work. It should return a D01f error (Archive path not specified) if a user tries to archive. Just a thought.
