hi folks,

i've been setting up vlan between a powerconnect dell 6248p and a HP Procurve 4108gl.

Today i set GVRP on the dell to pick up the vlan's on the procurve however it flushes the whole network with broadcasts.

This resulted in the crashing of our phone system and one of our major databases.

I'm pretty sure i should be limiting the GVRP somehow which would stop this.

Has anyone else had any experince of this?

Do you have Spanning Tree enabled on either of the switches?
