OK mysticalMike,

I use prefer to use gvim for program editing (no flames please!). All well & good. Except that I cant get my prefered font to default when I open up a screen.

I've tried mucking with the .gvimrc file (works for other settings but not font) & even messing with xresources (works for fonts on other proggies) nothing works. I'm messing something up but what?

I don't remember exactly, but I think, font settings were somewhere in gvim menu or in commandline options.

bubak, thanks! However I wasn't being clear in my original post. I know how to change the fonts from both the menu & command line. What I'm having trouble doing is having my favorite font come up when the program is launched w/o the extra steps.

In reality, I'll bet it's soemthing that SuSE has tied down... then again maybe not, so I'd thought I'd ask.

thanks again... even if you can't help I do appreciate the attempt.
