Ok this is what I got handed to me today.

I have to build a template based page. I page. On this page there will be a area for four images. On this page there will be an area for two text areas.

Ok so what has to happen is the user will be able to pic out of a number of pictures. Choose the image they want and have it show up the one of the four image areas that they choose. Also the use will be able to add there own text to the text area.

Save there choices, send them to a page that shows there creation, and allow them to print it on a typical desktop ink jet to be used in customized folders.

your thoughts?

what do you need? technolgies to use? I see no way without server intervention first off. ASP would be my first choice but php, jsp etc.. would be valid and good ways to do this also. The process doesn't sound to dificult really.
load the iamges to chose from as paths into a select. maybe iFrames for the images to be sent to and shown after selection. then just generate a page with the choices and use nedia print CSS to print it out. That s a roughed out frame of it.

Yeh I knew I would need a server side environment to run it, just was looking for some thoughts on direction. Now that I have thought more on it though I think I will do it with Flash MX.

I know Flash well enough, And this will be a good chance for me to develop a nice little Flash App to do this, maybe show off at work a little
