guys,

I just underwent a job profile change. Was previously into networks. Just finished my CCNA. Currently am a part of SAP BASIS team (since 6 months). We do a lot of work on IBM AIX. Wanted to start a certification track for the SCSA. I am completely blank on solaris, but work on aix at office. From where I come, classes dont teach aix, so figured do a cert on solaris flavour, coz many SAP installations are on sun, ibm and HP. Wont harm doing solaris. I am not a super fast learner. So normally before doing a 40 hour sun course I want to get my feeler on solaris so that the lectures at the classes dont go over my head. Which is the best book to buy for a guy who does not know anything in solaris albeit knows some basic unix owing to aix. No I cant buy a sparc from ebay. Will practicing on solaris for intel help, coz i can practice at home then . What are the best free resources on the net ?. Thanks in advance.

Vikram
SAP BASIS administrator, CCNA
