I installed Gupta SQLBase 8.0 eval and all went fairly smooth. I have a local connection and TCP/IP enabled. When I try to run SQLTalk i get an error 3701 which means it can't find the SQL.INI file. Even though it is in th SQL root directory.

Anyone else encounter this?

Try it to copy the file into the Windows-Directory (c:\windows OR c:\winnt).

Nothing to thanks, you can send the money without any comment. :)

Thanks for the reply. I should have mentioned before that I had already tried copying SQL.INI to the systemroot, and winnt folders. I'm still trying.

This is most likely caused by a 'stray' SQL.INI file somewhere. Do a search on your entire drive for SQL.INI.
