Does anyone know where I can find a guide that gives the benefits for each of the above? Or care to explain them?

all these are trunks you lease (?)from a CO

analog line is a line like you have at home ... they can support normally 1 call or atmost 2 (like in conf, call waiting mode) ...u dont need a pbx to work these

T1 can be crudely compared to 24 analog lines clubbed together, but deliverd on 1 or 2 pairs from the CO and your PBX splits them into 24 lines

PRI is protocol running on a T1 ... it is also 24 channels, but 1 is reserved for signalling information between the CO and ur PBX (generally speaking)

thats good enough to start i guess ...try iec.org they might have some tutorials on these ...

You also get DID's & CLID name & number and you don't have to set-up seperate hunt groups for multiple businesses. They are less expensive than 23 POTS lines. You can get as many DID number as you need and cost is only about 1.5 cents each number per month.

Cost per DID number varies from carrier to carrier.
