I would like to Install a windows nt server 4.0 as a Server for backing up all the important shared folders on the Domain workstations. I do not use any tape backups on the domain, and would like to use Hard disk for backing up. Any Ideas for differential or incremental or full backups. Thanks in advance

Hi,

Using another hard drive for a backup, is really a sub standard solution, that will not really give you the saftey that you need in a back, such as in the event of a flood or fire all is lost....!!!! You get my meaning.

For a backup you really need to be looking at a tape backup system, backup exec for example is a very good NT solution.

In short you dont want to be backing up important data to another hard drive with no tape copy.

Well, thats just my view.
