Hi, first off, great forum! There is some outstanding information and some very knowledgeable, nice people on here.
Well, I just joined an EDI team a few months ago and was trained, however our lead person just left the company and left me and another inexperienced person to keep the systems going! It’s been an interesting month so far. We’re scrambling for some new people, but in the meantime, I’m putting in the hours to keep things going. So, please forgive me for my lack of knowledge.
We have Mercator 6.7 running on Windows 2000 server.
My question/issue: Our production server keeps getting “hung” forcing us to STOP and RESTART it every few days. This seems to help it, but is getting pretty annoying. So, is it normal for Mercator to get hung (CPU on Event Sever gets to 100% when this happens) this often? I want to modify the mercntsv.ini file as suggested on this forum, but where can I find it? Will this help? How can I tell how much data is going though?
Also, ss there a way to set up an email/pager notification when the server gets hung? This would help us get to the problem before I trading partners contact us.
I appreciate you reading this far if you did. Please let me know if there is any other information I can give you.
Thanks!
