I recently bought a 160 G Seagate HD to add to my existing HD (80 g seagate). I formatted it using disk management in windows vista. I tried using to install windows vista on the 160 HD but in the setup window (Vista) it says that i cant use the drive coz its a guid partition. How can i use the drive to install windows?

Is this a brand new drive? According to the Help in Windows XP, GUID disks are created on 64-bit Itanium-based PCs.

In Windows XP you can convert GUID disks to normal (MBR) ones by going into Disk Management, right-clicking the drive and selecting 'Convert to MBR Disk'. I'm not sure what options you have in Vista but hopefully it'll be a similar process.
