I heard there is a good GUI out there for us novices. I think it was called MAT. Could anyone please give me more information on it (price, how easy it is to use, what it's called, where i can get it, etc.)? I know the system well enough to do a lot of basic functions, so is this something worth getting?

From a techs point of view I wouldent waist your money it its not cheep depending on what vender you can get it from some ware in the range of $2000 to $5000 Its nice for tracking sets and its ok for making changes it give you a picture of the buttons but your changes don't take afect right away intell it sinks up. I guess if you don't use a maintance terminal much its a nice to use. hope this helps.

Nortel sells Optivity which has the station administration module in it. Switchview sells a product, and theres another called PhoneMaster (may be Fonemaster).

Optivity and Switchview are big bucks. Pricing is dependant on how many systems and number of ports.
