Hello all,

i need your help please. i want to create a logon script that integred in html/hta that will display the following:

1. a message of the day
2. their username, time, and what drives they are mapped too.

3. would like to have a ok button so they can press it to have the script close.

is that possible, please let me know

thanks all!

Possible...yes

Do a search for InternetExplorer.Application for the HTML GUI
WScript.Network for the network drives & usernames

Yuck! Why would you want to subject your users to having to close a window after logon every morning?

Why do you want to display the user name, did the user forget it after they just typed it?

Do they REALLY need to see what drives they were just mapped to? Are your users not able to open up Explorer if they want to see a drive letter?

How about emailing that message of the day so your users can set up an auto delete rule!

Sorry this just seems like a terrible idea to me all the way around.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark
