I have RedHat Linux 7.1 installed..dual booting with Win98.
i had choosed a gui login first in linux...but i want to make it as a text based login now..so can anyone help me on this..

Hi,



Just edit your /etc/inittab file - change the following line:



id:5:initdefault:



so that it reads :



id:3:initdefault:



This sets the default init run level as 3 (console mode) instead of 5 (X)
