GUI Interface

I just acquire a RS6000 box. I have AIX4.2 loaded on it. Does AIX have a GUI interface? What are the commands to bring it up? Thanks.

Yes you can use GUI on this box.
The software is in a library called X11 which may have to be installed off the AIX cd.

Is there any way i could check if the x11 is loaded on my system by chance. I don't have the AIX cd, thanks

lslpp -l all|grep x11

you can also try to use:
lslpp -l x11.base.rte
Or you can try to find executable file called X
on your system.
