I am looking for suggestions as to ways to put a gui front end on a CICS application. We started using Visual Basic with Universal Client and Transaction Gateway but we have been told that Universal Client support is going away at the end of this year. Any suggestions? It would be great if we could keep what we've done in VB instead of start over. MQSeries has been mentioned but I do not believe we could use the VB.

XML works great as an interface from GUI to CICS.
You can format the data from XML in the CICS
screen input area and fool the CICS program
so that it acts as if the data is coming from a CICS screen.

Probably the easiest way to GUI/Web enable is using NetPhantom from ESAi ( You dont need to do programming for most tasks just drag and drop. Dont need to be at the latest CICS release either. Plus you can do some cool integration between systems, if you want to get real fancy.
