GUi / Command Prompt

Forgive me for being so dumb !!

I need to get to a unix prompt on a SCO v7 server, at the moment it shows a GUi login box and as such I can login as root and go to a GUi desktop etc....

How can I get into the unix shell from this GUi ???

Have you tried Ctrl+Alt+F1 ?

You can try as PHV mentioned, but if your X in configured on tty01 it won't work, and on that case try F2 to F12 until you find a charmode session

And you also have the option of xterm.
