Hello All, I just installed Asterisk Now and cant seem to get the GUI running. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

They mostly come at night, mostly

When you browse to the IP address of the unit, you get no GUI?

I just installed on Ubuntu 9.04 and found a problem that stops the GUI from running. Although it creates the /usr/share/asterisk directory it doesn't create the index.html file. Run these commands and restart Asterisk and see how it goes. This may not apply if you're not running Ubuntu.

rm -rf /usr/share/asterisk/static-http/
ln -s /var/lib/asterisk/static-http/ /usr/share/asterisk/
/etc/init.d/asterisk restart

While I'm here, does anyone know how to enable web access from a machine other than the localhost??? I can connect from the Ubuntu machine using but not from another machine using - I get 'Failed to connect'. The manager.conf file has 'port=5038' and 'bindaddr=127.0.0.1' so I changed the bindaddr and restarted but no luck. The port=5038 is odd as I'm connecting on 8088 but changing it also has not effect.

Any ideas?

Thx

Leave the port set to 5038 in manager.
Set bindaddr= 0.0.0.0 in both http.conf and manager.conf
