Hi there,

I have a very simple guestbook on my website

Today it seems it has been attacked by some random messages.
This is not the first time this has happend, but it has never been to this extent.

Is there anything that can be done to stop this?
Is it a problem with my code, allowing this to happen?

Thanks,
Russell

I posted a test message to the guestbook and there isn't any validation done on the person posting. This means than anyone or any bot can post message on your guestbook. To eliminate bots from posting in large quantity, try using one of those text/numeric images that are random. You can verify that it's actually a human entering the information into your form this way.

If you want to narrow down even further, you'll have to create a log-in system and only allow registered users to post.
