VMWare ESX server 2.5.3
Compaq DL 380, 3.5GB Ram
3com Nic 10/100 Service console
Two Intel nics 10/100 VMWare

I have taken a Storage array off an existing working VMWare server 2.5.3 and placed it on a new piece of hardware. These VMDK Files are good; I also made copies of them onto the local machine. The Host server boots up fine, and I can connect to it remotely.

The problem is when I go to start any guest os, the green arrow flashes and after a few minutes it fails with no error or log.

I created a new Guest OS and associated it with a new hard disk. Then let the VMWare server create the VMDK. After that completes normally I go to start that new server and that one fails as well.

Where Can I find logs that will help me resolve this issue?
Any help would be great.

First try looking in /var/logs/vmkernel then look in the individual log file for the VM itself, usually stored in /root/vmware/vmname or /home/vmware/vmname
