Found a hidden folder called GTek in Windows (Explorer), All Users, Application Data, GTek. There were several sub folders the last two having further sub folders some with files - .ini, .pk, .tmp, and many .ucl totaling 1.21 MB. If deleated it renewed itself on a re-boot, even if deleated in the registry. Finally got rid of it by deleating the entire 'folder' which it was in in the registry. Did a Google search but of the many references nothing seemed to fit. Any idea what it is and what it does?

If it doesn't come up in google, its probably spyware or virus. Scan your system.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

Actually, accidently found the same "Gtek" in hidden folders, but I'm running Windows/Me. Looked it up in google and it lead me to this site. Will do the same and and then run system clean-up. Thanks Tek guys and associates.
