Phone 1 fwd to voicemail
If more then 4 phones are forwarded no answer to phone 1, people who dial one of those 5 won't be forwarded to voicemail.

What is the best strategy to solve this and how can I troubleshoot?

(Still Old) 3300 + nupoint

Not sure I am understanding correctly but if you want 5 phones to funnel into 1 mailbox then as long as the individual phones do not have MB's of their own you can easily add the 4 extra as Alternate Extensions on the destination MB (Advanced settings on MB)
