>3 ... ellipsis changes changes to a Verticle bar in field. A High End user wants to be able to add more than 3 ellipsis and when that happens it changes them into a bar. Any way to get around this? Any help would be appreciated.

I tried using ALT + 302 and got this .... in a textbox. Virtually indistinguishable from the periods used in ellipses.

Does anyone know why this happens? Is it because of the data-type or is it some feature(being nice) in MS that makes this happen?

The infamous AutoCorrect. Remove the ... entry an that should work.

As a humorous side note, back when I was younger and less mature (last week) I'd go to a Dwight Shrute-like co-worker and go into his Outlook Autocorrect and put entries in such as changing "I" to "I am an idiot, and I" so that an email starting:

"Dear Mr Boss, I feel that I deserve a raise"
changes to
"Dear Mr Boss, I am an idiot, and I feel that I deserve a raise"

No, it only changes the single "I" physically typed in, not cut/pasted or autocorrected in.
