GSS Delivery Zone Error

Hi all

I have a restaurant that's opening a QSR counter shortly. When I start OPS I'm getting an "Error initializing delivery zone information" popup. It's been ages since I've set up GSS from scratch and I'm a bit rusty so I may just be missing something. Here are the details:

[li]The GSS Data Service is running[/li]
[li]All GSS modules are licensed[/li]
[li]I've rebooted after enabling GSS[/li]
[li]This is the 4th restaurant in it's concept and GSS is working in the others. The database I'm using was copied from a working location[/li]
[li]When I run it on my test server using Micros Demo System licensing I get the same thing; this makes me think it's something with the database[/li]

Anybody have any ideas?

Hi,
What version of RES are you running? Typically this will occur in 5x if both NIC's don't have network activity.

It's RES 5.4 on a rack mount server. Two NIC's and the ILO port are in use.

My test server only has one NIC though, and I'm having the same issue there.

Try putting this into the GSS Delivery
“Postal Code Regular Expression” field:

{[0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9][0-9]}

Then reload the DB and restart the GSS Service.

Thanks, I'll try that on my test system. After disabling/enabling GSS and GSS service, and rebooting about a half dozen times, the live system finally started working correctly.
