GS Segment

I am currently having a problem with a trading partner pertaining to the GS segment. Here is the situation:
For 997 in ISA segment they want SDMDCPRD for all 997's.
However in the GS, they want a different identifier per acknowledgement.
If 997 for PO = SDMDCPO
If 997 for Inv= SDMDCPI
If 997 for 820= SDMDCPM

Is there a way to do this?

It depends on your software. Gentran has this capibility. What are you using??
