Hi,
I recently had redhat installed temporarily.
I am not trying to load a version of windows, however no matter what I do I get a GRUB prompt just after the very first boot up screen. I cannot do anything at this prompt.
I have fully formatted the disk using FDISK, however the prompt still comes up. How can I get rid of this?
I do have a linux start up desk but dont know ho to use it and there shouldn't be anything on the harddrive as its been fully formatted.
I am doing a lot of experimentation with different OS's at the moment and any help would be grately appreciated.

This would most likely be due to the fact that GRUB is installed in the MBR. You might want to try the command 'fdisk /mbr'. See if that works.
