Hi all,

Specs: 1 HDD + 1 cdrom

Last week:
I had setup rh8.0 over a dual boot w98/2kpro. I had install grub and at each boot i was prompted for rh or dos. When I choose rh, rh will load up normally and when i chose dos, i was prompted this time for the dual boot menu of w2k/w98. Each os was living hapily. Here was how the partitioning was.
Primary: Fat32 (w98)
Extended: all of the remaining space
Logical in xtended: 1 NTFS (2kpro), 1 Fat32, another NTFS, Linux (ext3), Linux (swap)

This week, I have deleted the logical FAT32 partition and my grub GUI failed. Instead I enter in text. I think the problem may be due to the fact that I have forced linux to take over a logical partition.
I have made several attempts to get my Grub back:
1. Recreate the deleted partition
2. Reinstall Linux on the same partition
3. Remove from my ATA100 controller and get it back to IDE
I notice that Linux would recognize my hdd as hda instead of hdh or something like that.

Now I don't have Linux installed no more...

I would like the following on my PC:
w98
2kpro
Lindows (ver??) (APril2002)
Redhat 8.0
SUSE 8.0

Taking into consideration that I can manage another hdd to copy all my data and can fdisk the whole thing...
1. Can i have grub installed to control all the 5 Os
2. Would you recommend having it on my MBR or on a partition (My PC supports booting over 2Gb hdd)
3. How can all these coexist together???
4. Am i asking too much from my PC

GRUB should be able to handle all that, I don't know how to set it all up though. However, you can use smart boot manager:

It's ugly, but works. Put it on a floppy and you can boot anything from any partition without having to setup a lot of stuff. Good for lazy people like me.
