In a small server, I have made a cron job to mirror the primary drive to a second drive.

Will it work to install Grub on the 2nd drive just like it is on the first drive? I was hoping to make is to that if the first drive failed, the cables could be switched around a little and then boot from the last mirror.

The documentation with Grub doesn't cover this, so that's why I'm wondering if it's even possible. Any Ideas, or should I just use a floppy...

Thanks

I'm no GRUB expert but I think it'll work.

Even if it doesn't, GRUB can be edited at boot time so it would just be a matter of changing hd(0,1) to hd(1,0) (an example).
